1. Introduction
At Stargate Tech Ltd, we are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our products. This policy outlines your rights and the procedures for returns and refunds, in accordance with UK consumer protection laws.
2. Your Right to Cancel
2.1. Online Purchases
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your online purchase within 14 days of receiving the item(s) without providing a reason. This period is known as the “cooling-off period”.
Exceptions: This right does not apply to:
- Digital products (e.g., software downloads) once downloaded or accessed.
- Personalised or custom-made items.
- Sealed items (e.g., earphones) that have been unsealed after delivery for hygiene reasons.
3. How to Cancel Your Order
To exercise your right to cancel:
- Notify Us: Contact us here within the 14-day cooling-off period, stating your decision to cancel.
- Return the Item(s): Send the item(s) back to us within 14 days of notifying us. You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
- Condition of Returned Items: Ensure that the item(s) are returned in their original condition, with all packaging, manuals, and accessories. We reserve the right to deduct from your refund if the value of the goods has been diminished due to handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
4. Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described:
- Within 30 Days: You are entitled to a full refund or replacement. Contact us here with your order details and a description of the issue.
- After 30 Days: We will assess the fault and may offer a repair, replacement, or partial refund, depending on the circumstances.
Note: This policy does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse, or normal wear and tear.
5. Return Process
- Contact Us: Before returning any item, please contact our customer service team here to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.
- Packaging: Securely package the item, including all original components and the RMA number.
- Shipping: Use a trackable shipping method to return the item to the address provided by our customer service team. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
6. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item:
- Approved Returns: We will process your refund to the original payment method within 14 days.
- Deductions: If the item is returned damaged or missing parts not due to our error, a deduction may be made from your refund.
7. Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, contact us here.
8. Warranty on Refurbished Items
Our refurbished items come with a 6-month warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers hardware defects under normal use conditions. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorised repairs.
9. Misuse of the Returns Process
To protect against fraudulent activity, we do not tolerate misuse of our returns process. The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in refusal of future refunds, suspension of your account, or legal action:
- Returning a different item than the one purchased (e.g., sending back an item of lower value).
- Sending back an item in a deliberately damaged condition to claim a refund for a faulty product.
- Repeatedly returning non-faulty items in an attempt to use products without purchasing them.
- Claiming a refund without returning the item.
